Stress Reloading

Calm and stressed weapon-handling animations

Bodycam has two types of reloading: Calm and Stressed. Each state has multiple animation variations with different movements and timings. In general, your character will reload differently depending on the situation.

What changes under stress

Stressed handling can include rushed movements and mistakes during a reload. What’s known:

  • Multiple variations when inserting shotgun shells.
  • Bolt-action rounds that the operator can struggle with or fumble before loading.
  • A hand slipping on the bolt, followed by another grip before chambering the next round.
  • Procedural positioning also changes where the weapon is held during reloads.
